Regarded as one of the best athletes ever to hit the gridiron on the hilltop, Randy Little was a standout end on some excellent West Liberty football teams during the early 1970s. Playing three years under the legendary Bob Roe and one season for head coach Leo Miller, Little was a major factor in the Hilltoppers' impressive 23-13-1 record from 1971-74.
A 4-year starter who held many of the school's receiving record by the time he hung up his jersey for the final time, Little was a 3-time first-team All-West Virginia Conference selection on offense. As a senior, he was honored as the WVIAC's Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
Little's talents didn't go unnoticed at the next level as he was an 11th-round draft pick of the World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1975 NFL Draft. A long-time member of the United Carpenters and Joiners of America Local No. 200, Little spent more than three decades working as a union carpenter before his retirement.
