West Liberty University Athletics

    Michael Meyers ended his West Liberty career as one of the most decorated swimmers in NAIA history, earning four consecutive NAIA All-America awards from 1971-74 under legendary coach Tom Grall. The Hilltoppers were a national swimming power under Grall during the mid-1970s, notching three WVIAC championships and a trio of Top 10 national finishes during Meyers' time on campus.
    An incredibly versatile swimmer, Meyers claimed WVIAC championships in four different events. Over the course of his career, he won 11 WVIAC titles and earned NAIA All-America recognition in 10 events.
    After graduating from West Liberty, Meyers remained active in swimming as a coach and as a participant in many Master’s events.
