Hilltoppers Set for MEC Spring Classic at Oglebay

WHEELING, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's golf team returns to action this week as it competes in the Mountain East Conference Spring Classic, held Tuesday and Wednesday at the Oglebay Resort Palmer Course at Speidel Golf Club.

The event brings together a full conference field along with several regional programs, including University of Charleston, Fairmont State University, Wheeling University, PennWest California, West Virginia State University, Glenville State University, Davis & Elkins College, West Virginia Wesleyan College, Concord University, and University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown among others.

The Palmer Course, designed by Arnold Palmer, is a par-71 championship layout known for its unique setup featuring six par-3s, five par-5s, and challenging elevation changes. Stretching up to 6,800 yards, the course emphasizes shot-making and course management with strategically placed bunkers and expansive greens.

West Liberty golfers will be paired alongside players from Charleston, Pitt-Johnstown, and Hocking in the opening round.
