West Liberty University Athletics

2025-26
Academic All-MEC. Competed in six tournaments and 14 rounds during his first season with the Hilltoppers after transferring from Northeastern State. Made his West Liberty debut at the Larry and Wally Edgell Battle at Brunswick before competing at the Vulcan Fire Classic, MEC Spring Classic, Cecil C. Spadafora IUP Invitational, Bedford Springs Invitational, and NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional. Posted his top finish of the season by tying for 40th at the Vulcan Fire Classic and helped West Liberty qualify for the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional.

Prior to West Liberty:
Competed one season at Northeastern State University.

High School:
Competed at Checotah High School in Checotah, Oklahoma. As a senior, became the first men's golfer in school history to earn All-State honors after qualifying for the state tournament. Set a school record by winning seven tournaments in a single season while posting a 72.0 scoring average. Served as team captain all four years.

Off the Course:
Carter is the son of Dana and Tex Stewart. He is majoring in Business Administration.
