WHEELING, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's golf team placed three student-athletes on the All-Mountain East Conference Second Team following the conclusion of the MEC Spring Classic at Oglebay Resort.
Adam Gill, Justin Doerr, and Ethan Cook each earned All-MEC Second Team honors, recognizing their consistent performance across the conference's five-round championship slate.
The trio led the Hilltoppers throughout the season and capped the year with solid showings at Oglebay, where West Liberty finished ninth in a competitive field.
Gill highlighted the week with a tie for 15th place, while Doerr and Cook added key rounds to help pace the Black and Gold against the league's top competition.
Glenville State claimed the team title at 4-under par, while Charleston's Pau Sanchez earned MEC Player of the Year honors with a five-round average of 70.8. Point Park's Milo Thim was named Freshman of the Year, and Charleston's Will Johnson took home Coach of the Year honors.
