GREENSBURG, Pa. — After two rounds of play at the Hannastown Collegiate Invitational on Monday, the West Liberty University men's golf team sits in 10th place with a 36-hole team score of 631 (+55) at Hannastown Golf Club.
California (Pa.) leads the field at +16, two shots clear of Pitt-Johnstown (+18). IUP (+21) is close behind in third, while Davis & Elkins (+35) and Glenville State (+38) round out the top five.
Justin Doerr paced the Hilltoppers on Day One, carding rounds of 76 and 74 to finish at +10 and tied for 20th individually. Adam Gill is just one stroke back at +11 (75-76), sitting tied for 28th.
Ethan Cook (+15) is tied for 49th after posting rounds of 76 and 79, while Brandon Lawhon (+19) had scores of 82 and 77. Tyler Sauric (+34) rounds out the lineup.
Pitt-Johnstown's Griffin Hansberry leads the individual leaderboard at 2-under par, followed closely by Mauricio Hernandez (Pitt-Johnstown, IND), Alex Swinnerton (IUP), and Chaz Ekoniak (California, Pa.), who are all even par through 36 holes.
The Hannastown Collegiate Invitational concludes Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
