BOULDER CITY, Nev. – West Liberty University's Adam Gill wrapped up his season Wednesday at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship, competing against the nation's top golfers at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.

Gill finished tied for 94th overall in the national championship field with a three-round score of 13-over-par 229. The Hilltopper standout carded rounds of 76, 79, and 74 during the 54-hole stroke play portion of the championship.

After battling difficult conditions through the opening two rounds, Gill closed the tournament with his best round of the week on Wednesday, firing a two-over-par 74. The final-round effort moved him up three spots on the leaderboard against a field that featured the top teams and individuals from across Division II.

USC Beaufort's Octavio Laurent claimed the individual stroke play title at 17-under-par, while Florida Southern captured the team stroke play championship at 35-under-par to lead the eight teams advancing to Thursday's match play quarterfinals.

The NCAA Championship was contested on the 7,595-yard Desert Hawk/Coyote Run course at Boulder Creek Golf Club, where players faced one of the toughest setups in Division II golf this season. Despite the challenge, Gill represented West Liberty on the national stage after qualifying as an individual through the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional.

Gill's appearance at the NCAA Championship caps another strong season for the Hilltoppers, highlighted by postseason success and national recognition for the West Liberty men's golf program.
