Belle Vernon, Pa. – After the first 54-hole tournament of the season, the West Liberty University men's golf team finished 11^th overall in the team race at the Cedarbrook Golf Course, totaling a 921 (+57) in the two day event. The Hilltoppers were led by a pair of individuals, as Bo Orecchio and Brandon Lawhon both tied for 32^nd overall in the individual standings.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• One of two West Liberty golfers to tie for 32^nd in the individual standings, Bo Orecchio totaled a 229 (+13) over the course of the 54-hole tournament. He carded a final round of 78 (+6) with a pair of birdies.
• Brandon Lawhon was the second Hilltopper to tie for 32^nd individually and total 229 (+13) after three rounds. He closed the tournament with a 76 (+4) in the final round, also notching a pair of birdies.
• Derek Graham finished third in the WLU lineup after two days of action, totaling a 231 (+15) to sit in a tie for 43^rd overall. He finished the day with three birdies while carding a 77 (+5).
• Also tying for 43^rd overall in the tournament was Jayson Beckner, who played as an individual in the tournament and shot a 231 (+15) in his first collegiate tournament. He ended the day with one birdie on his scorecard, totaling an 82 (+10) in the final round.
• Justin Doerr finished fourth in the lineup for the Black & Gold and was tied for 63^rd overall with a score of 235 (+19) after 54-holes. Doerr collected one birdie in the final round to go towards a third round total of 82 (+10).
• Noah Seivertson rounded out the day for West Liberty in a tie for 72^nd overall, carding a 237 (+21) after three rounds. He posted an 82 (+10) in the final round of the tournament and birdied one hole.
• After collecting 29 birdies on day one, the Hilltoppers added ten more in the final day of action and was led by Graham with three.
