WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - The running schedule has been set by the West Liberty University cross country programs for the upcoming fall season. The Hilltoppers will compete in four invitationals before the championship season commences.
WLU opens on September 10th down the road at the Bethany College Invitational. A trip to Muskingum and Slippery Rock, along with the Pre-Regional Meet complete the regular season schedule.
The Pre-Regional Meet, also dubbed the Ed Winrow Invitational, will take place on October 8th in Mansfield, Pa, setting the stage for the Atlantic Regional Championships back in Mansfield on November 19th.
A Mountain East Conference champion will be named at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, W.Va. for the fifth consecutive year. The conference championship meet is slated for November 5th.
NCAA nationals are set for December 3rd in Tacoma, Wash. Only the men have made a team appearance at NCAA Nationals in Hilltopper cross country history, that lone showing was in 1964.
The women's meets will begin approximately one hour prior to the men's at each event.
