LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The West Liberty University women's cross country team closed out its 2025 season with a strong showing at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships on Saturday morning at the West Branch Cross Country Course, hosted by Lock Haven University.
Junior Lacey Dimit led the Hilltoppers in the 6,000-meter race, clocking a season-best time of 22:55.20 to place 59th overall in a competitive regional field that featured more than 150 runners from across the Atlantic Region.
Freshmen Katie Rutherford and Naomi Young continued their impressive debut campaigns, each posting personal bests. Rutherford crossed the line in 23:55.80 to finish 103rd, while Young was close behind in 24:14.60 for 112th place.
Senior Ally Hicks capped her Hilltopper career with a personal-record time of 24:17.80, finishing 114th, and freshman Lexi Wynn rounded out the team's scoring with a 24:51.60 finish in 125th place.
Two more freshmen — Gretchen House (24:54.40) and Kenzie Upole (25:55.30) — also recorded personal bests to complete West Liberty's lineup, underscoring the program's youth and development heading into the future.
Davis & Elkins claimed the team title with 58 points, led by three runners inside the top 10. Glenville State's Natalie Barr won the individual championship in 21:22.00, edging Gannon's Emily Bowers by less than a second.
