NEW CASTLE, Pa. -
Hannah Kemp finished in 4th place to lead the West Liberty University women's cross country team at the Bill Lennox Invitational this afternoon.
In her first race back since the season-opening win at Bethany College, Kemp improved her time by nearly a minute finishing with a 23:08, for a 6:12 mile pace. The senior improved her positioning at each checkpoint. After sitting in eighth a mile in, Kemp moved up two spots the next mile and two more at the finish line.
Savannah Moorehead was the next Hilltopper to finish, crossing the line in 30th place with a time of 25:05.Â

Morgan Lesnansky,Â
Blake Hull, and
Ally Hicks all finished within eight seconds of each other in the middle of the 86-runner field.
The 6k race took place at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
West Liberty will be back in action in two weeks at the MEC Championships on November 5.
