GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The West Liberty University men's golf team returns to the course Monday when the Hilltoppers compete in the WCU Battlefield Classic at The Links at Gettysburg.

Hosted by West Chester University, the two-day tournament gets underway Monday and concludes Tuesday. The Links at Gettysburg will play to a par 72 and measure 6,833 yards.

West Liberty enters the tournament after a fifth-place finish at last week's Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational at Stonewall Resort. The Hilltoppers finished at 28-over par in the 17-team field, closing with an even-par final round.

Adam Gill and Justin Doerr led the way for West Liberty at the Wally Edgell Invitational, tying for 13th at 5-over par. Gill carded rounds of 78, 73 and 70, while Doerr finished with rounds of 79, 74 and 68.

Ethan Cook placed 26th at 9-over par, followed by Chatum Courson in a tie for 39th at 13-over and Campbell Koegler in 51st at 18-over.

The field includes West Chester, Chestnut Hill, Jefferson, Millersville, Point Park, Shepherd, Virginia State, West Liberty, West Virginia Wesleyan and Gannon.
