West Liberty Posts Top-10 Finish at Hannastown Collegiate Invitational

GREENSBURG, Pa. – The West Liberty University men's golf team closed out competition at the Hannastown Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday, finishing 10th in the team standings at the Hannastown Golf Club. The two-day, 54-hole event was co-hosted by California (Pa.) and Wheeling.

Pitt-Johnstown captured the team title at +23, while California (Pa.)'s "A" squad (+32) and IUP (+39) rounded out the top three. West Liberty carded rounds of 313, 310, and 320 for a +87 team total.

Adam Gill led the Hilltoppers with a steady week, finishing tied for 21st at +16. Gill closed with a final-round 75 that included an even-par 36 on the back nine. Justin Doerr was next in the lineup, tying for 33rd at +19 after rounds of 76-72-79.

Ethan Cook tied for 39th at +21, highlighted by a second-round 71 that was one of the Hilltoppers' best scores of the tournament. Brandon Lawhon (+31) and Tyler Sauric (+51) rounded out the team scoring, while individual entrant Isaac Depew finished at +52.

Pitt-Johnstown's Griffin Hansberry claimed the individual championship, firing an impressive -2 across three rounds.
