BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — West Liberty University's Acrobatics & Tumbling team has secured seven qualifying spots for the 2025 Mountain East Conference (MEC) Event Finals.
The Event Finals will be held this Saturday at 11 a.m. inside Joe Retton Arena on the campus of Fairmont State University. Teams earned their place in the finals by posting one of the top three average scores in each heat across the acro, pyramid, toss, and tumbling events during the regular season.
West Liberty will compete in a diverse set of events, reflecting the program's depth and technical precision. The Hilltoppers qualified in all three acro heats — five-element, six-element, and seven-element.
Their pyramid performances also earned recognition, with WLU advancing in the synchronized and open pyramid heats, a nod to their strength and synchronization. On the tumbling side, West Liberty will compete in the trio tumbling and aerial tumbling heats, capping off a strong all-around showing.
West Liberty's seven total qualifications tie them with Frostburg State and trail only Fairmont State (14) and Glenville State (12).
