BEDFORD, Pa. – The West Liberty University men's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday as it competes in the Bedford Springs Invitational, hosted by Pitt-Johnstown at the historic Bedford Springs Resort.
The two-day event features a strong NCAA Division II field, including regional contenders such as Gannon, IUP, Shepherd, Fairmont State, and California (Pa.), along with fellow Mountain East Conference programs Wheeling, Davis & Elkins, and Glenville State.
West Liberty enters the tournament looking to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the spring season. The Hilltoppers are slated for a 12:20 p.m. tee time in Monday's opening round and will be paired alongside players from Point Park and Pitt-Johnstown's "B" team.
The West Liberty lineup is expected to feature Carter Stewart, Brandon Lawhon, Ethan Cook, Adam Gill, and Justin Doerr. The group will look to take advantage of a challenging yet scenic Bedford Springs layout that traditionally rewards precision off the tee and consistent approach play.
The 36-hole event will be played over two days, with 18 holes scheduled for each round.
