Riccardo and Sekulovska Earn CSC Academic All-District® Honors

West Liberty, W.Va. – On Tuesday afternoon the College Sports Communicator's (CSC) announced the 2023-24 Academic All-District® selections for women's basketball. West Liberty University was represented by Jenna Riccardo and Natalija Sekulovska as the CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classrooms.

Riccardo earns her second career CSC Academic All-District® selection as she posted a 3.91 undergraduate GPA and a 4.0 grad school GPA while pursuing a master's in education. The senior from East Liverpool, Ohio, averaged 12.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game while shooting the ball 57.7 percent from the field, 58.3 percent from 3-point range, and 73.4 percent from the free throw line. After entering the season with no prior double figure scoring outings, she notched 18 during her final season on the hilltop with four 20-point performances and a career-high 25 against Concord on senior day. As the team's leading rebounder, she secured five or more boards in 23 contests, including four times in double figures which led to four double-doubles. She dished out two or more assists five times, collected two or more steals three times, and posted two or more blocks three times.

Sekulovska receives her first career CSC Academic All-District® selection as she posted a 3.54 GPA while pursuing a degree in business management. The junior from Veles, Macedonia, appeared in 29 games while averaging 2.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game during the 2023-24 season. She scored six or more points in seven games during the year, including a season-high of nine in the Hilltoppers season-opening overtime victory over Mercyhurst. She also secured four or more rebounds in seven contests and tied a career-high of seven boards in a road match-up at Glenville State. She dished out two or more assists eight times, posted two or more blocks four times, and collected two or more steals three times.
