Hilltoppers Host Concord In Final Regular Season Home Game

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty Hilltoppers return home Sunday afternoon to host the Concord Mountain Lions in a 2 p.m. Mountain East Conference matchup inside the Academic, Sports & Recreation Complex (ASRC).

West Liberty holds a 39-26 advantage in the all-time series, but recent history has favored Concord. The Mountain Lions have won three straight meetings, including a 93-77 victory earlier this season in Athens on Jan. 17.

West Liberty (8-17, 5-13 MEC) enters Sunday coming off a season-high 95-point performance at Glenville State. The Hilltoppers are averaging 72.4 points per game — fifth in the MEC — and lead the conference in assists (14.9 per game) while ranking second in 3-pointers made (7.9 per contest).

The Hilltoppers feature a balanced offensive attack: Reagan Vinskovich leads the team at 18.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 55.6% from the field.
Anna Lucarelli adds 15.5 points per game and ranks among the conference leaders with 99 assists. Olivia Baker is one of the MEC's top perimeter threats, averaging 14.2 points per game with 72 made 3-pointers. West Liberty has shown its ability to stretch defenses, knocking down 198 3-pointers this season — second-most in the conference.

Concord (17-8, 12-5 MEC) sits third in the conference standings and enters Sunday averaging 76.2 points per game, third-best in the league. The Mountain Lions shoot 44.3% from the floor and hold opponents to just 39.2% shooting, ranking among the MEC's top defensive units.

The Lions also bring a significant size advantage, leading the Hilltoppers by +9.1 rebounds per game. Concord averages 41.7 rebounds per contest compared to West Liberty's 32.6.

Individually, Concord is powered by: Abbie Smith, who averages 18.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game while shooting 56.6% from the field. Kenyah Stubbs, adding 15.5 points and a team-high 85 assists. A deep rotation that includes multiple double-figure scorers and strong interior presence.
