Morgantown, W.Va. - The West Liberty University track & field teams ended the weekend with a total of 16 top-10 finishes, eight apiece by both the men's and women's programs, in day two of the Stan Romanoski Open at the Mylan Park Track and Field Complex. The day was highlighted with a second place finish in the 110m hurdles by
Mikhi Anderson for the men while
Ky'Ara Ross was third in the long jump and sixth in the 100m dash for the women.

HOW IT HAPPENED – WLU MEN'S TRACK & FIELD AT STAN ROMANOSKI OPEN
- Joshua Fancher notched a second place finish in the discus, recording a mark of 44.33m as the top DII athlete in the field. Also competing in the event was Jordyn Dickerson who posted a 14th place finish with a career-best throw of 36.74m.
- Dickerson earned the top finish by a WLU athlete in the shot put with a throw of 12.24m for 23rd place.
- BriJuan Baylor secured a sixth place finish in the long jump for West Liberty with a mark of 6.15m while Quinn Ashbrooke just missed the top-10 with an 11th place jump of 5.90m.
- Reese Burnside, who competed unattached, recorded a fourth place finish in the pole vault with a jump of 4.55m while Julius Hobbs finished in eighth place as he recorded a mark of 3.95m.
- Ethan Furbee recorded a fifth place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.78m.
- Aidan Horan posted a 21st place finish with a mark of 32.32m in the javelin.
- Brody Cermak was the highest finishing Hilltopper in the 5,000m run as he finished with a time of 16:41.71 for 41st place.
- Mikhi Anderson was the top DII athlete and was second overall in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.68. George Donovic also recorded a 13th place finish in the event as he crossed the line in 16.24.
- Arthur Williams led West Liberty in the 400m dash with a 23rd place finish and time of 54.58.
- Lorenzo Ferrera notched a top-5 finish in the 100m dash with a fourth place time of 10.95 while Anderson rounded out the top-10 as he crossed the line in 11.32.
- Francis Toohey gave the Hilltoppers another top-10 finish as he crossed the line seventh in the 800m run with a time of 1:58.73.
- Malachi Stewart earned a 19th place finish in the 400m hurdles as he posted a career-best time of 1:08.51.
- Toohey just missed the top-10 as he ran to an 11th place finish in the 1,500m run and a career-best time of 4:08.05.
HOW IT HAPPENED – WLU WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD AT STAN ROMANOSKI OPEN
- On Friday afternoon in the hammer throw, Sierra Davis notched a 17th place finish with a career-best throw of 39.95m to lead three Hilltoppers competing in the event.
- Adriana Fazzini opened Saturday with a third place finish and was the top DII athlete in the discus with a throw of 38.94m while Kennedy Martin was fifth overall with a mark of 37.79m.
- Martin recorded her second top-10 finish of the day with a sixth place mark of 11.48m in the shot put.
- Ky'Ara Ross and Sierra Lanham gave West Liberty a pair of top-5 finishers in the long jump with marks of 5.10m and 4.88m respectively for third and fifth place.
- Morgan Lesnansky posted a top-10 and career-best time of 19:10.14 in the 5,000m run as she crossed the line in eighth place.
- Ally Hicks finished 12th in the 1,500m steeplechase with a time of 5:55.83.
- Marissa Scott just missed the top-10 of the 100m hurdles as she finished 11th with a career-best time of 16.35.
- Brookelyn Reynolds was the top WLU athlete in the 400m dash as she clocked a time of 1:03.62 for 17th place.
- Ross and Lanham once again posted a pair of top-10 finishes, this time in the 100m dash, as they recorded times of 12.68 and 12.79 respectively for sixth and eighth place overall. Ross's time was a new career-best.
- Lacey Dimit earned a 21st place finish in the 800m run as she finished with a time of 2:29.50.
- Bailey Pack recorded a time of 1:23.82 for a 14th place finish in the 400m hurdles.
- Dimit paced the Hilltoppers once again, this time in the 1,500m run, as she recorded a career-best time of 5:16.27 for 25th place.
HOW IT HAPPENED – WLU WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD AT AMY ADAMS MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL
- Catherine Neely led the way in the discus with a career-best throw of 32.37m for 21st place.
- Haley Norris and Leah Delaney posted 27th and 28th place finishes respectively in the shot put with marks of 9.48m and 9.36m.Â

West Liberty will be in action next week Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30, as they host the Tim Weaver Invitational at the West Family Athletic Complex.
