West Liberty Announces Indoor Track & Field Schedule

West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men’s and women’s track & field teams and first-year head coach Jason Falvo have announced their 2023-24 schedule. The Hilltoppers will have an opportunity to compete in up to eight meets over the course of the season, including the Mountain East Conference Championships and the NCAA Division II Championships.

The 2023-24 season gets underway with a pair of meets in the month of December. The Hilltoppers open the season at the YSU Icebreaker in Youngstown, Ohio, on December 1. A week later they will travel to either the GVSU Holiday Open in Allendale, Michigan, on December 8, or they will go to the SPIRE Holiday College Classic in Geneva, Ohio, on December 9. A decision on which meet athletes will compete at will be made in the upcoming weeks.

The month of January will also feature a pair of meets for the Black & Gold. They start the new year with a trip to the Ashland Invitational on January 20 in Ashland, Ohio. WLU will then round out the month with competition at the Muskingum Meet on January 27 in New Concord, Ohio.

West Liberty begins the month of February with another pair of trips to the Buckeye State, starting with a 2-day meet hosted by Youngstown State University, the YSU Mid Major Invitational on February 2-3. The following week the Hilltoppers compete at the SPIRE Indoor Collegiate Games on February 10 in Geneva, Ohio. The month ends with the Mountain East Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in Huntington, West Virginia, on February 16-17.

Athletes who reach qualifying provisional marks and are selected by the NCAA will compete at the Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas, hosted by Pittsburg State University on March 9-10.
