Bridgeport, W.Va. – On Monday afternoon West Liberty's
Cam Rice was recognized by the Mountain East Conference office as the league's Defensive Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan. It marks the fourth time in his career and third time this season that Rice has won the award.

- Led the West Liberty defense in a 31-3 win over Wheeling on Senior Day.
- Recorded 9 total tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, 1 pass breakup, and 1 blocked field goal.
- He returned both of his interceptions for touchdowns, scoring on returns of 13 and 34 yards.
- His two sack fumbles resulted in forced turnovers as they were both recovered by the Hilltoppers.
- He matched a career-high in tackles-for-loss, marking his fifth game of the season with 2.5 or more.
