STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - Bo Orecchio carded back-to-back 73's and is one shot out of first place after the 36-hole opening day at the West Liberty Invitational today at Steubenville Country Club. The Hilltopper team also sits in second place heading to the final 18 holes tomorrow.

The players battled through windy conditions and spot showers at the hilly, 6,690-yard Steubenville Country Club. West Liberty totaled a 302 and 307 for a 36-hole 609, 10 shots back from the leaders representing Davis & Elkins College. The Hilltoppers led the event in par 3 and par 5 scoring with average scores of 3.38 and 4.83, respectively. They also had 26 birdies, the most of all 12 teams.

Orecchio posted a trio of birdies on both scorecards today including one each time at the 530-yard, par-5 hole 18. The junior shot an even par on both front nines and +1 on the back nine each round.

Alex Easthom (T11), Noah Seivertson (T17), and Brandon Lawhon (T17) round out four Hilltoppers sitting in the top 20. Easthom carded a two-round total of 153, while Seivertson and Lawhon both shot 155.

The West Liberty Invitational concludes tomorrow with 18-holes teeing off with a shotgun start at 9 am.
