BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - West Liberty's
Justin Kaplan has been named the Mountain East Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, announced by the conference office today.
Down by one with less than 20 seconds left in the game, Kaplan split the uprights from 48-yards out to ultimately win the game for West Liberty on Saturday over West Virginia Wesleyan, 23-21. The field goal was the longest of the season by any Mountain East Conference player.
The MEC Weekly Awards are presented by The Health Plan.
West Liberty travels to Glenville State this Saturday for a 1 pm kickoff.
