BETHANY, W.Va. -
Hannah Kemp started the 2022 season off with a first-place finish to lead the West Liberty University women's cross country team at the Bethany College Invitational earlier today. As a team, the Hilltoppers finished fourth of nine teams in their season opener.
Kemp topped a 62-person field with a time of 24:03.28.
The average time for West Liberty was 26:09.78.
Shania Keene,
Ally Hicks, and
Savannah Moorehead all crossed the finish line in the 26th minute and placed in the top 25. Keene came in 17th with a 26:07.26, Hicks was 23rd at 26:32.12, and Moorehead posted a 26:45.50 to finish 25th.
West Liberty will be back in action on October 1 at the Muskingum Invitational in New Concord, Ohio.
