The West Liberty University men's golf coach, Thadd Obecny is set to tee off on the Korn Ferry Tour later today at the Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank.  

Tee time for his opening round is set for 4:30 pm (EDT) from the 7045-yard, par-71 Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, Utah. The Utah Championship is a four-round tournament that runs through Sunday, August 7 and consists of 156 players competing for a piece of the $750,000 purse. Links to live coverage of the event can be found below.

Obecny qualified through open qualifying earlier this week, claiming one of the eight open spots for the Utah Championship. The Wheeling, W.Va. native earned one of the final spots in this week's field via a 6-for-3 playoff at 7-under 65 along with Josh McCarthy and David Timmins. In total, 110 players competed in open qualifying.

The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the PGA Tour. Since the 2013 season, it has been the primary pathway for professional golfers seeking to earn their PGA Tour card.
