MANSFIELD, Pa. - The West Liberty University women's cross country team ran at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships today hosted by Mansfield University at Lamb's Creek Cross Country Course.
Hannah Kemp led the way for the Hilltoppers finishing in 28th place with a time of 23:14.7. The senior from Bethesda, Ohio had a strong finish to move up 13 spots after the first two kilometers, keeping all three splits under eight minutes.
Shania Keene and
Savannah Moorehead finished in less than 26 minutes, at 25:46.4 and 25:57.6 respectively.
Freshman
Morgan Lesnansky and
Ally Hicks finished neck and neck at 26:31.5 and 26:45.1, while
Blake Hull rounded out the group crossing the line in 27:22.8.
The Hilltoppers were in 18th place as a team at all three checkpoints including the finish line, out of 21 competing squads.
