    BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced on Monday that West Liberty University cross country ace Hannah Kemp has been honored as the Mountain East Conference Runner of the Week for the second time this season.
    A returning All-Region sophomore from Bethesda, Ohio, Kemp posted her second runaway win in as many outings on Friday when she delivered a dominating performance in the Charleston Cross Country Winter Invitational at Coonskin Park.
    Not only did the Hilltopper standout win the 6,000-meter event in a crisp 21:56, she crossed the finish line more than 50 seconds ahead of her closest pursuer.
    Kemp and her WLU cross country teammates are making preparations to host the 2021 MEC Cross Country Championships on March 20 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling.
