    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 20-ranked West Liberty men's basketball team was once again one of eight teams listed on Wednesday as being "under consideration" for inclusion in next month's NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament when the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Ranking Committee released its second weekly update.
    This year's restructured NCAA Division II Atlantic Region includes teams from the Mountain East Conference and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference along with a limited number of teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
    The eight teams chosen by the committee for consideration this week are unchanged from last week's original list. The MEC is represented by four teams – No. 16 Charleston, No. 20 West Liberty, Fairmont State and Glenville State. Three teams – No. 9 Hillsdale (Mich.), No. 21 Findlay (Ohio) and Kentucky Wesleyan – hail from the G-MAC with No. 4-ranked Mercyhurst (Pa.) of the PSAC completing the list.
    West Liberty will host the Atlantic Region Tournament from March 13-16 at the ASRC. The 6-team regional field will include the MEC and G-MAC Tournament champions, which will receive automatic bids, along with four at-large teams selected by the committee.
    Due to the disparity in the number of games played along with the restructuring of various regions, the regional ranking committees only provided alphabetical lists of teams "under consideration" in the first two releases. A ranked list of teams under consideration will be released on March 3, leading up to the "Selection Sunday" announcement of the NCAA Division II Tournament field on March 7.
    Records shown in this week's release include games played through Sunday, Feb. 21.
