KANSAS CITY, Mo. – West Liberty University freshman guard Myles Montgomery has been named to the NABC Division II All-Atlantic District Second Team, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The All-District teams are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division II and recognize the top student-athletes from each region.
Montgomery put together a sensational debut season for the Hilltoppers, emerging as one of the top freshmen in the country and a key piece in West Liberty's success throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
The 5-10 guard from Minford, Ohio, averaged 13.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while leading both the Hilltoppers and the Mountain East Conference in steals with 89. His steal total not only set a new West Liberty freshman record, but also ranked third nationally in NCAA Division II.
Montgomery's efficiency on the offensive end further set him apart, as he shot an impressive 54.0 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from three-point range, thriving in West Liberty's fast-paced system.
His standout play earned him First Team All-Mountain East Conference honors, and he capped the season by being named the MEC Tournament Most Valuable Player, leading the Hilltoppers to the conference championship.
Montgomery was one of five players selected to the All-Atlantic District Second Team and one of the top guards in the region this season.
