EDINBORO, Pa. – The West Liberty University men's basketball team remained locked in at No. 2 in the D2SIDA Atlantic Region poll when the ranking committee of select regional sports information directors released its weekly poll on Monday morning.
Indiana, Pa. (15-1), ranked No. 5 nationally, received five of the six first-place votes and 59 points to hold off WLU for the No. 1 spot after escaping regionally-ranked East Stroudsburg with a 98-97 overtime win in its only game last week.

Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (13-2), No. 9 in the nation and winners of 13 of their last 14 games, stayed put at No. 2 with the remaining first-place vote and 55 points after two more wins last week – including a 109-108 double-overtime thriller against regionally-ranked Concord.
Virginia State (15-3) moved up two spots to No. 3 on the strength of its 11-game winning streak while Fairmont State (12-4) slipped to No. 4 after being upset at home by Urbana on Thursday night. Shippensburg (14-4) also dropped a spot to No. 5 after an upset loss to Lock Haven on Wednesday.
Slippery Rock (12-5) rode its 10-game winning streak to No. 6 while West Chester (12-5) moved up to No. 7 after reeling off seven straight wins. East Stroudsburg (10-5) dropped two spots to No. 8 with Notre Dame (11-5) and Concord (10-5) rounding out the Top 10.
Pitt-Johnstown and Charleston were the only other teams receiving votes.
The West Liberty men hit the road on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. game at Urbana before closing out the first half of the Mountain East Conference schedule at home on Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff against Ohio County rival Wheeling Jesuit.
