Football | 9/13/2018 6:00:00 AM

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Liberty University football team hopes to enjoy the bright lights in the big city tonight when the resurgent Hilltoppers take on unbeaten Charleston in the Mountain East Conference Game of the Week.
The game will be broadcast live state-wide on the MetroNews Radio Network.
West Liberty fans can also follow all the action right here with links for live audio, live video and real-time stats along with a full game notes package from the WLU Sports Information Department.
Both teams look to build on the momentum from last week's big wins. The Hilltoppers (1-1, 1-1) raced away to a 37-13 lead against West Virginia Wesleyan in last Thursday's MEC Game of the Week en route to a 37-34 win. The Golden Eagles (2-0, 2-0) also had a Thursday night game last week, taking down Concord by a 42-21 tally.
This is the 31st meeting between the two programs. Charleston still holds a slim 15-14-1 lead in the all-time series but the Black and Gold have prevailed in each of the last two seasons.
Every West Liberty football game is televised live to more than 100,000 Ohio Valley homes on WLU-TV14 with Todd Ullom, the Voice of the Hilltoppers, calling the action.
