    URBANA, Ohio – The Thursday Night Lights will be shining on West Liberty and Urbana tonight as the Blue Knights and the Hilltoppers kick off the 2018 season in a mutual opener at Urbana University Stadium.
    Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

    Coach Roger Waialae's Hilltoppers have 14 starters and 40 lettermen returning from last year's team that opened its season with a 24-21 victory against the Blue Knights.
    Coach Ty Haines' Urbana squad, which rebounded from that early loss to go 5-5 the rest of the way, has only 10 starters back but returns a whopping 50 lettermen looking to get their 2018 campaign off to a better start.
    This is the ninth meeting between the Mountain East Conference rivals. West Liberty has won seven of the previous eight meetings, including the last four.
