WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2026 season as the Hilltoppers look to continue their rise under head coach Sean Regan.

Regan enters his eighth season leading the Black and Gold after guiding West Liberty to a fourth consecutive Mountain East Conference Tournament appearance. The Hilltoppers are coming off a historic 2025 campaign that saw the program earn its first-ever postseason victory, defeating Point Park 3-0 in the MEC Tournament quarterfinals advancing to the conference semifinals.

The 2026 schedule features 16 regular-season matches, including 13 Mountain East Conference contests and three non-conference road tests. West Liberty begins the regular season on Aug. 27 with a trip to Daemen before wrapping up its non-conference slate on Aug. 30 at Chestnut Hill.

Conference play opens Sept. 9 when the Hilltoppers host Point Park in their home opener at the West Family Athletic Complex. West Liberty then heads to Wheeling on Sept. 13 and Frostburg State on Sept. 16 before returning home to face Davis & Elkins on Sept. 20.

The Hilltoppers continue conference play with a road trip to Charleston on Sept. 23 before hosting Shawnee State on Sept. 27. West Liberty closes out the month with a visit to Salem on Sept. 30 in another MEC matchup. October opens with a challenging road contest at Seton Hill on Oct. 3 before the Hilltoppers return home to host Concord on Oct. 7. West Liberty then travels to West Virginia Wesleyan on Oct. 11 and welcomes Frostburg State to the hilltop on Oct. 14.

The stretch run includes a road match at Davis & Elkins on Oct. 18 and a trip to Point Park on Oct. 21 before the regular season concludes on Oct. 28 when West Liberty hosts Wheeling.

The Hilltoppers will play six home matches during the regular season, welcoming Point Park, Davis & Elkins, Shawnee State, Concord, Frostburg State and Wheeling to the West Family Athletic Complex.

With an experienced coaching staff, a program that has become a fixture in the conference tournament and momentum from last season's historic postseason breakthrough, West Liberty enters the 2026 campaign with its sights set on another trip to the MEC Tournament and a deeper postseason run.
