WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University men's soccer program continues to shine in the classroom as three Hilltoppers—Joao Victor Sylvino, Jasper Newton, and Oskar Voges—have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
The prestigious honor recognizes student-athletes who excel academically while making significant contributions in competition. This year's honorees represent the global reach and academic strength of the Hilltopper program.

Major: Accounting | Cumulative GPA: 4.00**
One of the most consistent performers in the classroom and on the pitch, Newton earns Academic All-District recognition for the second straight year. The junior defender maintains a perfect 4.00 GPA in Accounting.
Berlin, Germany | Lichtenberg 47 | Senior
Major: Accounting | Cumulative GPA: 3.75**
A senior leader and attacking threat, Voges captures his first CSC Academic All-District honor. Majoring in Accounting with a 3.75 cumulative GPA.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil | Rio International School | Sophomore
Major: Management | Cumulative GPA: 3.82**
A dynamic presence in the midfield, Sylvino earns his first CSC Academic All-District honor after an impressive sophomore campaign. Off the field, he has excelled academically with a 3.82 GPA in Management.
