Baker, Lucarelli Earn All-MEC Honors as Hilltoppers Head to Postseason

3/2/2026 1:00:00 PM

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference has announced its 2026 women's basketball postseason awards, and West Liberty was well represented as Olivia Baker and Anna Lucarelli earned All-MEC Second Team honors following standout seasons in Black and Gold.

Baker, a redshirt sophomore guard, is delivering one of the top shooting performances in the country this season. She currently leads both the nation and the MEC in three-pointers per game at 4.1 while pacing the conference in total three-pointers with 86 — a mark that ranks second nationally. Baker is averaging 14.6 points per game and has consistently stretched defenses with her deep range, establishing herself as one of Division II's most dangerous perimeter threats.

Lucarelli closed her senior campaign with another strong all-around performance. She ranked fifth in the MEC in assists with 115, averaging 4.1 per game, and led West Liberty in rebounding with 191 boards. Lucarelli also surpassed the 300-assist mark for her career this season, further solidifying her place among the program's top facilitators. Her leadership and versatility were key components for the Hilltoppers throughout the year.

West Liberty now shifts its focus to postseason play at WesBanco Arena as the Hilltoppers prepare for their matchup with W.Va. State Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Mountain East Conference Tournament.
