WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's basketball team placed three student-athletes on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday, recognizing their combined excellence on the court and in the classroom.
Representing the Hilltoppers on this year's team are Olivia Baker, Anna Lucarelli, and Ana-Isabel Andersson.
Baker, a redshirt sophomore guard from Shelby, Ohio, earns Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive year after also being recognized in 2025. A standout in the classroom, Baker carries an impressive 3.98 cumulative GPA while majoring in accounting. Her continued success highlights her consistency as one of the program's top student-athletes.Baker was also selected as a CSC Academic All-America Finalist.
Lucarelli, a senior guard from Pittsburgh, Pa., adds another accolade to her decorated academic career. A three-time Academic All-District selection (2023, 2025, 2026), she holds a 3.79 cumulative GPA in elementary education. Lucarelli has been a model of excellence throughout her career, balancing leadership on the court with sustained academic achievement.
Andersson, a sophomore guard from London, England, earns her first Academic All-District honor. Majoring in political science, she owns a 3.70 cumulative GPA and continues to emerge as a strong contributor both academically and athletically for the Hilltoppers.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes student-athletes for their performance in competition and in the classroom. Nominees must meet high standards for both academic achievement and athletic participation.
