BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The West Liberty Hilltoppers women's basketball head back on the road Saturday afternoon for a Mountain East Conference matchup at West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats women's basketball. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. inside the Rockefeller Center.
West Liberty enters the weekend at 7-14 overall and 4-10 in MEC play, coming off a hard-fought 66-61 home win against Davis & Elkins earlier this week. The Hilltoppers have been effective when sharing the basketball, averaging 14.3 assists per game, and will look to limit turnovers against a Wesleyan team that ranks among the league leaders in scoring margin.
West Virginia Wesleyan enters Saturday's contest at 13-4 overall and 10-3 in the MEC, riding a six-game winning streak. The Bobcats are averaging 76.9 points per game while holding opponents to 66.1, ranking near the top of the conference in both offensive efficiency and scoring defense.
Despite Wesleyan's recent success, West Liberty has historically found success in the series, owning a 44-21 all-time advantage.
