Hilltopper of the Week: Ky’Ara Ross

West Liberty, W.Va. - West Liberty junior Ky'Ara Ross (Canton, Ohio / St. Thomas Aquinas) earns Hilltopper of the Week honors after a historic performance at the Mountain East Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Marshall University.

Ross captured her third consecutive MEC Indoor Long Jump Championship, soaring to a winning mark of 5.90 meters. The title adds to her conference crowns in 2024 and 2025, cementing her place as one of the league's most dominant field athletes.

She wasn't done there.

Ross added a school-record performance in the triple jump, finishing seventh with a leap of 10.85 meters, continuing to expand her impact across multiple events.

On the track, she delivered a pair of podium finishes. Ross was the runner-up in the 60 meters, clocking a blazing 7.732, and followed that with a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters at 25.31.

Competing across sprints and jumps, Ross played a pivotal role in West Liberty's third-place team finish, showcasing her versatility and championship pedigree once again.

With three straight conference long jump titles and multiple scoring performances in a single championship meet, Ross continues to set the standard for excellence in the Mountain East Conference.
