WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — West Liberty University junior Ky'Ara Ross has been named the Mountain East Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week after an impressive performance at the Youngstown State Last Chance Invitational.

Ross captured first place in the long jump at the Watson and Tressel Training Site, posting a winning leap of 5.78 meters (18-11.75). The mark not only secured the event title but continued a strong indoor campaign for the Hilltopper standout.

The performance marked Ross' second long jump victory of the season. Earlier this winter, she claimed first place at the Ashland Invitational with a winning mark of 5.67 meters (18-7.25).

Ross and the rest of the Hilltoppers will compete this weekend at the Mountain East Conference Indoor Championship at Marshall.
