WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — West Liberty University sophomore Lacey Dimit has been named the Hilltopper of the Week following an outstanding performance at Muskie Meet #1 hosted by Muskingum University this past Saturday.

A mid-distance standout from Parkersburg, W.Va., Dimit played a key role in a first-place finish for the Hilltoppers in the women's 4,000-meter medley relay, helping West Liberty capture the event with a winning time of 13:21.36. Dimit teamed with Naomi Young, Katie Rutherford, Lexi Wynn to secure the top spot in a competitive field.

Dimit also delivered a record-setting individual performance, placing second in the women's 1,000 meters with a time of 3:12.73, establishing a new West Liberty school record in the event. Her result highlighted the Hilltoppers' depth and strength in the distance races and underscored her continued development as one of the program's top mid-distance runners.

A sophomore at West Liberty and a graduate of Wood County Christian School, Dimit continues to be a consistent contributor for the Hilltoppers as the indoor season progresses.

The Hilltoppers return to action this Saturday at the Ashland Invite.
