WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — Two standout members of the West Liberty University women's tennis team were honored on Friday by the Mountain East Conference for their exceptional performances this season.
Evelina Martirosyan earned All-MEC First Team honors after an outstanding year at the No. 1 singles position. She posted an impressive 11-2 record, highlighted by a dominant start in which she won her first 11 matches of the season.
Omolade Aderemi was named to the All-MEC Second Team, capping off an equally strong season at No. 2 singles. Aderemi also finished with an 11-2 record, providing consistent success for the Hilltoppers throughout the year.
Martirosyan, Aderemi, and the rest of the Hilltopper squad will open postseason play on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., taking on the University of Charleston in the opening round of the Mountain East Conference Tournament in Charleston.
