WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University softball team is ready for postseason action after locking up the No. 2 seed in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) North Division. The Hilltoppers head to Salem, Va., this week for the 2025 MEC Softball Tournament, set for April 30-May 3 at the Moyer Sports Complex.

West Liberty (18-10 MEC) will open tournament play on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. against Davis & Elkins (20-10), the No. 3 seed from the South Division. The Hilltoppers will be looking for a measure of revenge, as they dropped both regular-season meetings with the Senators earlier this year.

The double-elimination tournament will continue through Saturday, May 3, with the MEC Champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Tournament.
