West Liberty Track and Field Set for Mountain East Conference Outdoor Championships

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Outdoor Championships, beginning Sunday at Mylan Park in Morgantown. The three-day event will feature some of the region's top collegiate athletes, including several Hilltoppers who have turned in record-breaking performances this spring.

Hunter Patterson has led the way with standout efforts on the track, setting new school records in the 100m (10.41) and 200m (21.00). Patterson recently swept both events at the John Papa Invitational at Slippery Rock University.

On the women's side, Ky'Ara Ross has delivered a strong season, setting program bests in the long jump (6.13m) and 100m (12.19). Brookelyn Reynolds now holds the school record in the 400m (58.30), while Madelyn Cisar has etched her name in the record books in the 400m hurdles (1:08.62).

With strong rankings across the board, the Hilltoppers are in a great position to compete for points and podiums.
