Calabash, N.C. – The West Liberty University men's golf team kicked off its spring season with a sixth-place finish at the D&E Battle at Brunswick, held at Brunswick Plantation & Golf Resort.
The Hilltoppers finished +61 over the three-round event. Brogan Bennett led the way with a 13th-place finish at +11, while Justin Doerr placed 23rd at +16.
Jayson Becker (+19) and Noah Seivertson (+21) finished 34th and 40th, respectively. Awethu Mkhwanazi and Eirik Lindholm (Independent) both recorded a +29 to finish tied for 62nd, while Johannes Chang (Independent) rounded out the team's independent competitors at +31 in 68th place.
West Liberty will return to action March 24-25 at the MEC Spring Classic, hosted at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston.
