WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's basketball team looks to build momentum on Saturday when they host West Virginia Wesleyan in a key Mountain East Conference (MEC) matchup. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at the ASRC.
The Hilltoppers (8-13, 6-8 MEC) are coming off an impressive 76-58 road victory over Davis & Elkins on Wednesday, fueled by a season-best three-point performance. West Liberty knocked down 16 shots from beyond the arc, with Olivia Baker leading the way by hitting a career-high eight threes on her way to 24 points.
Saturday's matchup marks the 64th meeting between these two programs, with West Liberty leading the all-time series 44-19. However, Wesleyan got the better of the Hilltoppers earlier this season, earning a 72-66 victory in Buckhannon.
