Hilltoppers Host Tiffin in Saturday Nonconference Clash at ASRC

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University women's basketball team returns to action Saturday afternoon, hosting Tiffin University in a 2 p.m. nonconference matchup inside the ASRC.

The Hilltoppers enter the weekend at 4-5 overall (1-2 MEC) and will look to bounce back on their home floor after a hard-fought contest earlier in the week. West Liberty is averaging 74.8 points per game, ranking among the league's top shooting teams at 43.5 percent from the field while knocking down 7.7 three-pointers per contest.

Offensively, West Liberty is paced by Anna Lucarelli, who leads the team at 17.0 points per game while also contributing 6.9 rebounds, five assists, and two steals per contest. Ana-Isabel Andersson adds 12.4 points per game and leads the Hilltoppers with 39 assists, while Jameka Brungard provides an inside presence, shooting 60.6 percent from the floor and averaging 10.2 points and 7.1 rebounds. Olivia Baker and Kaleigh Norris have been key perimeter threats, combining for 15 three-pointers on the season.

West Liberty's defensive pressure has also been a strength, forcing 17.8 opponent turnovers per game and holding a positive turnover margin, while averaging 7.6 steals per contest.

Tiffin comes to the hilltop with a 4-5 record (0-3 conference) and has been competitive throughout the early portion of the season, averaging 69.4 points per game while holding opponents to just 40.9 percent shooting. The Dragons feature a balanced scoring attack led by Megan Campbell (14.8 ppg), Hailey Unger (13.3 ppg), and Isabelle Niederst (11.4 ppg), while Myka Richardson anchors the paint with 5.1 rebounds per game and a team-high eight blocks.

Saturday's matchup marks the ninth all-time meeting between the programs, WLU is 3-5 all-time against the Dragons. The Hilltoppers earned a 79–66 home victory in the most recent meeting at the ASRC during the 2022–23 season, while Tiffin claimed the last matchup in Ohio a year ago.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. inside the ASRC.
