St.Clairsville,Ohio - West Liberty University junior Sara Simon finished tied for ninth at the 2024 West Liberty Fall Invitational at Belmont Hills Country Club in St.Clairsville. Simon finished with a two-day total 162 (+18), teammate Erin Shockey was 13th overall with a 167 (+23). 

Sydney Baird of West Virginia Wesleyan was the medalist with a 157 (+13) total. Bluefield State's Candela Lopez Prino was second with a 158 (+14), Sydney Ater from Glenville State was third at 159 (+15) and three golfers tied for fourth at 160 (+16) Lorelei Oomens from Bluefield State, Mara Johnson from Fairmont State and Holly also of Bluefield State. 

Glenville State won the team title with a combined 652 (+76) Fairmont State was second at 665 (+89) and Bluefield State was third at 676 (+100). 

The West Liberty women's golf team returns to action next Saturday in the Mercyhurst Invitational at Lake View Country Club in Erie, Pa.
