BELLE VERNON, Pa. . – Head Coach Thadd Obecny's West Liberty University women's golf team wrapped up competition at the California University of Pennsylvania Vulcan Invitational. Student-athletes Hannah Shepherd, Erin Shockey and Sara Simon were listed as individuals in the 36-hole event.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Veteran graduate student Erin Shockey finished tied for 13th after improving her round two total by 11 strokes. Shockey posted a round one score of 86 (+15) and significantly improved in round two with a score of 75 (+4) for a tournament total of 161

Junior Multi-sport student Athlete Sara Simon linked scores of 85 (+14) and 82 (+11). Simon finished tied for 26th on the leaderboard

Freshman Hannah Shepherd tallied back-to-back round scores of 103 (+32)

The West Liberty women's golf team returns to the course next weekend as they travel to the Raven Golf Club in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Tee times for the W.Va. Wesleyan Invitational will be announced closer to the date of competition.
