FAIRVIEW, Pa. — The West Liberty University women's golf team closed out its fall season this week at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic, hosted by Gannon University at Whispering Woods Golf Club.

The Hilltoppers finished 10th in the competitive NCAA Division II field, which featured several regionally ranked programs including host Gannon, Walsh, and Charleston.

Senior Sara Simon led the way for West Liberty, carding rounds of 100 and 104 for a two-day total of 204 (+60) to place 44th overall. Freshman Hannah Shepherd followed with a 172 (+76), while Brooke Perri posted a 183 (+87) and Reese Ward rounded out the lineup at 228 (+144).

Host Gannon University captured the team title at +26, led by individual medalist Cloe Mateo (+4). Walsh placed second at +53, and Charleston (W.Va.) rounded out the top three at +54.
