ROANOKE, W.Va. – The West Liberty Men's Golf team moved up a spot in the final round of the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational hosted by Davis & Elkins College at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. As a team, WLU finished 3rd with a score of 895 (+31).
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Sophomore Justin Doerr improved his final round score after round one and two scores of 74 (+2) and 74 (+2).

Doerr shot even and finished with a final score of 220 (+2) and a 4th place finish on the leaderboard

Junior Jayson Beckner shot 70 (-2) in round one and posted a score of 82 (+10) in round two. Beckner posted a final round score of 76 (+4). Beckner finished tied for 20th on the leaderboard

Also tied for 2nd place on the leaderboard was fellow Hilltopper Brogan Bennett who finished with a three-round total of 228 (+12)

Awethu Mkhwanazi shot 79 (+7) and (+2) 74 through the first two rounds. Mkhwanazi checked in at 29th on the leaderboard and finished with a three round total of 234 (+18)

Noah Seiverston posted scores of 87 (+15) in the opening round, 75 (+3) in round rwo and closed out the final round as his best with a score of 73 (+1)

Eirik Lindholm was listed as an individual and linked scores of 81 (+9) and 78 (+6) yesterday. Lindholm finished the final round with a 80 (+8)

WLU posted back-to-back scores of 299 (+11) and an overall score of 598 in the first two rounds. The Black and gold finished 3rd 895 (+31)
