SISSONVILLE, W.Va. – A second round score of 69 (-2) led to a top five finish for Senior Brogan Bennet at the Golden Eagle Invitational. West Liberty men's golf placed seventh as a team at the Edgewood Country Club.

As a team, WLU finished tied for seventh with Emory & Henry (881, +29)

Brogan Bennett competed as an individual and carded scored of 72 (+1), (69) (-2) and 71 (even)securing a top five finish in the medal hunt

Justin Doerr finished in 27th and shot a 71 (even) in the second round of the Golden Eagle Invite

Awethu Mkhwanazi posted a score of 72 (+1) in the second round marking his best round of the tournament

West Liberty gold travels to Roanoke, Virginia for the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational hosted by Davis & Elkins College. The tournament is scheduled for September 15-17 at the Stonewall Resort.
